Show your Stuff

Show Your Stuff is an event that turns the symposium attendee into the symposium presenter.  Participants have the opportunity to present a 5 minute presentation of their personal on Friday night of the symposium. It is a wonderful way to get your work out in public, practice your public speaking, or, if desired, ask the audience for their constructive feedback.

How to Present:

We operate on a first come first serve basis of which the cut off will be 20 presenters.  Please limit all presentations to 5 minutes or less.

Interested presenters should prepare a PowerPoint of their work and then email it to Autumn Brown at before the beginning of the symposium.  If you need help or have any questions at all, please contact Autumn at the email address above.

History of Show Your Stuff

This event was originally named "Multiple Slide Abuse" because before the digital revolution, that’s what we had….slides.  Many people took the opportunity to show work at the symposium bbq held behind Tomkin’s Pottery.  So many people would share their work that by the end by the end of the evening you were seeing double!

Friendly heckling would come from the audience, all in good jest of the presenters.  Somewhere along the line the "abusees" became the "abusors", which was probably fun for some, but was not our intention to upset people. We hope everyone can enjoy the evening!
